When you work in my industry, you have to constantly stay up to speed on the latest developments. If you fall behind, you’re left behind. My previous employer didn’t understand this, which made it extremely difficult to get involved in any kind of developmental courses whatsoever.

That made me want to go out and find an employer that was forward thinking and made a long term commitment to their employees. At Purple Scout, everything really is possible. When I came out of the interview, I had to sit down because my head was spinning from everything they offered me. I didn’t believe it could all be true. But the company has actually lived up to everything they promised, and then some. That’s never happened to me at any other company. I’d always felt I had a lot of potential, but it wasn’t until I started working at Purple Scout that I felt an employer pushed me in a positive way to be the best I could be.

They’ve also given me a great sense of security. You’re encouraged to take responsibility and initiative, and should something go wrong nobody gets angry at you, but rather the attitude is that we’ll find a solution. I really feel like my bosses are always behind me.
