I’m passionate about Open Source, that’s what initially drew me to Purple Scout. But it’s also a really fun company to work for. Nothing is treated as impossible, you’re given every opportunity to make your ideas happen. No subject is taboo, the dialogue with management is completely open and honest, which gives me a strong sense of security. For example, when times got tough, Johan traveled to all the local offices to talk about the company’s plans for the future and to answer all of our questions. That’s not very common.

It’s also fun to work at Purple Scout because a lot of exciting things are going on all the time. Like when we got to use our education budget to go sky diving – isn’t that crazy! But not only are there fun monthly activities and conferences, there’s also a serious commitment to personal and professional development. I don’t think many other companies succeed in seamlessly blending security, openness and craziness this well.
